The brown hyena is also an endangered species. They share a symbiotic relationship with the wild dog. Hyenas follow wild dogs, who are one of the most successful hunters. Hyenas feed on the leavings of the dog, consuming the entire carcass, including bones. This is why their scat is white and why few bones are found in the bush… the circle of life.
